ABB
Automation Project Engineer, 2022 - Present
I work as an Automation Engineer at ABB, where I have contributed to various projects. My role involves designing and implementing automation solutions.Several interesting projects:
- Karlstads Energi CSK Substation, Sweden: This project involves integrating ABB REX high-voltage protection relays into the ABB 800xA distributed control system using the IEC 61850 communication standard. The implementation includes developing control logic and operator interface screens for monitoring protection functions, alarm management, and system diagnostics. The project encompasses Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) procedures to validate communication protocols, control algorithms, and visualization displays before final system deployment and commissioning at the operational site.
- Egatrol X R&D, Switzerland: Collaborating on the development of a C# scripting tool for automating the conversion of Advant system source files for gas turbines into 800xA-compatible formats. Key contributions included conversion logic, converting HMI configurations, and validating the control logic using a digital twin of the gas turbine created in 3KeyMaster.
- Hadeed Bar Mill-2 Load Center Replacement, Saudi Arabia: Programming a control system for 0.6kV distribution networks with protection relay integration via Modbus TCP/IP protocol. The scope includes protection device control, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) operation, HMI development for operator interfaces, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) procedures to ensure proper system functionality before commissioning.
- CALW - Water Distribution System, Germany: Developing control systems for water distribution and purification, focusing on AC500 software development, HMI design, and S+ SCADA engineering. Involved in programming control logic, creating operator interfaces, and implementing SCADA system.
- Avantium - Power Factor Compensation, Netherlands: Programming the AC500 controller for compensation network in power distribution systems, including creation of OPC UA communication and interfacing with DigSilent PowerFactory simulation software. Simulating distribution networks and performing co-simulation with the AC500 controller based on Mosaik framework, ensuring seamless integration and accurate power modeling.
- Nortvolt Ett. - Battery Production, Sweden: AC800M SW and SCADA development. Commissioning. IO-Checks and Loop-checks.
